1.    Please supply a copy of your policy and protocols with regard to
financial assessments for adult social care, including disability related
expenditure. LBRuT Contributions Policy 2019-20 attached

 

2.    Please supply a copy of your policy and protocols for providing
advice, information and support for clients to apply for available
benefits.

We do not hold any policy in relation to this. Staff are instructed to
advise customers to visit our website, for more information about claiming
Housing benefit and Council tax reduction as well as links to debt and
money advice organisations, or to contact the Department for Work and
Pensions directly for more information about available benefits.

impact of mutual caring. - We do not hold any policy in relation to this.

for children.- Carers Assessments Staff Guidance; we do not hold a
separate policy in relation to this.

 

9.    Please provide your policies and protocols for determining provision
of minor home adaptations for priority one (5 days) and priority two (5
weeks). – Adaptations costing up to £1000 are provided to meet or prevent
social care needs following an assessment by an OT practitioner. The works
are completed by our Home Improvement Agency unless the provider is
Housing Association, in which case they are asked to complete the works.

               

10.  Please provide your policies and protocols for referral for major
adaptations under the DFG to the HIA. Major adaptations are recommended to
meet eligible social care needs following specialist occupational therapy
assessment.

 

11.  Please provide your policy and protocols with regard to priority
housing for disabled adults. Section 21: This information can be found on
the Council’s website in the ‘Housing Allocation Scheme’ PDF which is via
the link [3]here. In addition, further information can be found on the
Council’s Cabinet agenda and minutes webpage via the link [4]here under
report 117, appendix 1 - DFG Policy LBR (004).
