4. contact details of the lead officer of the local authority who deals with compliance with the disability equality duty, including name, address, telephone number, and email address

eliminate harassment against disabled people

REPLY. Birmingham City Council's Disability Equality Scheme (DES) is
attached.

2. details of the steps taken to involve disabled people in creating the
scheme

REPLY: The arrangements relating to the consultation process are detailed
within Section 1.2 of the attached Scheme. Birmingham's Disability Network
through the Birmingham's Disability Resource Centre has been engaged around
the replacement to the DES.

3. where any body corporate (such as, for example, a charity) was involved
in the creation of the scheme, the name of the body
corporate and particulars of the extent of its involvement

REPLY: Details can be found under Appendices 2 within the DES - the
particulars of the extent of individual or organisation involvement is not
documented within the DES, nor captured specifically at the consultation
meetings.

4. contact details of the lead officer of the local authority who deals
with compliance with the disability equality duty, including name, address,
telephone number, and email address

REPLY: Chief Executive Stephen Hughes has overall responsibility on behalf
of the Council. Assurance is co-ordinated by Dr. Mashuq Ally who is an
Assistant Director for Equalities and HR. He is based at 3 Congreve
