Dear Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council,

I lodged an FOI request on 7th April 2022, but do not appear to have received a response.

The 20 day limit under the Act has now passed and I really do want the information I requested, which is

Please advise me how many direct cremations were undertaken at Bournemouth Crematorium in the calendar year 2020.

When can I expect to receive this information?

Yours faithfully,

Peter Mitchell

Dear Environmental Services,

I originally lodged an FOI request on 7th April 2022, but received no response. After the 20 day limit under the Act had passed, I lodged my request again and that time you actually acknowledged receipt of my request on 11th May 2022.
However, the prescribed 20 day period has again passed without you responding to my request.
My request is very simple indeed and I cannot see any reasons for your failure to respond to it:

Please advise me how many direct cremations were undertaken at Bournemouth Crematorium in the calendar year 2020.

The least you could is to respond to this request without further delay.

I also request your internal review of your handling of my request, before I refer the matter to the ICO.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Mitchell

Dear Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council,

Whilst you have finally sent me a response, it does not answer the question I asked, which was: Please advise me how many direct cremations were undertaken at Bournemouth Crematorium in the calendar year 2020.

You have sent me a detailed breakdown of types of services from 16/10/2020 to 31/12/2020. How can this possibly be regarded as an answer to my simple and unambiguous question, which I now repeat for the avoidance of doubt: Please advise me how many direct cremations were undertaken at Bournemouth Crematorium in the calendar year 2020.

I simply do not understand how you cannot understand my simple question, the answer to which is one number.

I request an internal review on the basis that you failed dismally to respond to my FOI request originally sent in April and when you eventually replied on 27/6/2022 you answered a different question and failed to provide the simple answer required.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Mitchell
