either speech recognition or digital versions of the old analogue

Digital Dictation & Photocopiers  (ref 1039)

 

I refer to your email of 18 January 2012 requesting information in respect
of digital dictation and photocopiers.

 

I can confirm in accordance with S.1 (1) of the Freedom of Information Act
2000 (FOIA) that we do hold the information that you have requested. I
shall address each of your questions in turn:-

Please note that NHS Lincolnshire is a Commissioning Trust and does not
have any medical sites. Medical sites fall under Lincolnshire Community
Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS).

 

1) Does the pct source/supply/use digital dictation equipment

either speech recognition or digital versions of the old analogue

systems where the secretaries would still type from audi

dictations?

  LCHS has a digital dictation system in place at Johnson Community
Hospital which is used by the OPD consultants and transcribed by the
medical secretaries. There are no other systems across the hospitals or
clinics.

     2) Can I have a list of all medical establishments withnin the PC

that currently use it or are looking to implement it.

We do not use Speech Recognition

      3)What systems do they have in place and when are they to be

     reviewed please?

     Lexacim Type, this will be reviewed in another 2 years.

    

     4)Can I have a list of all medical establishments in the PCT and

     that use a photocopier, how many they have an

    when they are due for review please?
