Details about the Public Health England Alcohol Leadership Board
Dear Public Health England,
I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information about the Public Health England Alcohol Leadership Board:
- Who are the individuals, and from what organisations, that sit on the Alcohol Leadership Board?
- How is the membership of the Board determined? And what skills and experiences are sought?
- How often do meetings take place?
- Are the minutes and agenda from meetings available? And if so, can they be provided?
- How long can a member have a seat on the Leadership Board? Is there a defined time, or is the position indefinite?
I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this message. I would be grateful if you could confirm that you have received this request.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Oliver

Dear FOI,
Thank you for providing the this information, it's much appreciated.
It's mentioned that "minutes have not yet been finalised and have therefore not been included". However, with agendas dating back to July 2016 and some items being 'minutes from the last meeting' (15 January, for instance) - surely this indicates that some minutes have been ratified?
Yours sincerely,
Oliver Lewis

Dear Public Health England,
After further searches online we have found the full version of Terms of Reference document you had redacted about the Alcohol Leadership Board (https://bit.ly/2BBEfjR).
We have a few more follow up questions:
- In your previous message it mentioned that “under section 22 of the Freedom of Information Act, public authorities are not obliged to provide information that is intended for future publication”, why was it assumed made that we intend to publish this information? And can you clarify why that would be a problem even if that was our intention, especially as the information is already in the public domain?
- Can you clarify why as these appointments are to a public body developing public policy why is it not in the public interest to know?
- Can the minutes that were previously provided be resent without redactions of the members?
Kind regards,
Oliver
