Dear ROBERT PAUL JAMESON,

Freedom of Information: 002794/19

I write to acknowledge receipt of your Freedom of Information Request
(FOI).

The Act requires us to respond to FOI requests within 20 working days of
receiving the request. Unfortunately, at the moment, there is likely to be
a delay in us providing you with a response. We currently have a
significant backlog which we have reported to the Information
Commissioner's Office. We are working with the ICO to reduce the delay.

I would like to apologise in advance and hope that this does not cause you

Dear ROBERT PAUL JAMESON,

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUEST REFERENCE: 002794/19

I write in connection with your request for information received on
received 07/08/2019.

You had asked:

Pursuant to section 87(1)(a) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, please
supply me with the names, and postal addresses of the designated police
stations within your policing area. Please also provide for each station a
copy of the Secretary of State's regulations prescribing these police
stations as designated.

Section 1 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 (FOIA) places two duties
on public authorities. Unless exemptions apply, the first duty at s1(1)(a)
is to confirm or deny whether the information specified within a request
is held. The second duty at s1(1)(b) is to disclose information that has
been confirmed as being held. Where exemptions are relied upon Section 17
of the FOIA requires that we provide the applicant with a notice which: a)
states that fact, b) specifies the exemption(s) in question and c) state
(if that would not otherwise be apparent) why the exemption applies.

The information that you have requested is held by Surrey Police. Please
find our response below.

Response:

Please find attached above the pdf document (Secretary of State's
regulations prescribing police stations) which lists the full name and
address of the police stations, see pages 30/31, (currently 4) as
requested.

It should be noted however that this will be amended shortly when 1
station (Woking) is due to be removed from the list. This is outlined in
the attached (word) document yet to be actioned in parliament.

Surrey Police provides you the right to request a re-examination of your
case under its review procedure. How to do this is set out in the attached
Appeals Notice. Having followed the full procedure, if you are still
dissatisfied, then you have the right to direct your comments to the
Information Commissioner who will give your case consideration.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in
Surrey Police. Should you have any further enquiries concerning this
matter, please write or contact us on 01483 - 630007 quoting the reference
number above.

Yours Sincerely,

Alan Bayless
