Dear North Northamptonshire Council,

Please can you provide the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:
1 - How many assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards were conducted during the period 01/01/2020 to 31/12/2020 by each of the following:
a.) Council employed Best Interest Assessors
b.) Independent Best Interest Assessors (not employed directly by the Council)
c.) Mental Health Assessors
d.) Assessments allocated to 3rd party service providers for completion

2- Please provide the total spend on the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards assessments between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020, on each of the following:
a.) Employed Best Interest Assessors
b.) Independent Best Interest Assessors
c.) Mental Health Assessors
d.) 3rd party service providers

3 – What is the standard price paid per BIA assessment
4 – What is the standard price paid per Mental Health Assessment for DoLS
5 - Please provide the name of the local DoLS Lead or Team Manager

1 - How many assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards were conducted during the period 01/01/2020 to 31/12/2020 by each of the following: - 225

a.) Council employed Best Interest Assessors - 194

b.) Independent Best Interest Assessors (not employed directly by the Council) - 18

c.) Mental Health Assessors - 93

d.) Assessments allocated to 3rd party service providers for completion - 13

2- Please provide the total spend on the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards assessments between 01/01/2020 and 31/12/2020, on each of the following:

a.)Employed Best Interest Assessors - unable to calculate with accuracy; BIAs also undertake non-DoLS tasks

b.)Independent Best Interest Assessors - £10,000

c.)Mental Health Assessors - £14,200

d.)3rd party service providers - £8,320

3 – What is the standard price paid per BIA assessment - £320

4 – What is the standard price paid per Mental Health Assessment for DoLS - up to £180

5 - Please provide the name of the local DoLS Lead or Team Manager - Information withheld. This information would constitute personal data as defined by Article 4 (1) of GDPR and S. 3 Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018. Furthermore, where a local authority receiving a FOI request that includes the names of staff, the authority is entitled to consider application of the third-party personal data exemption in S. 40(2) FOI.

You may re-use the information under the terms of an Open Government Licence.
