Gwrthodwyd y cais gan Home Office.

Dear Home Office,
under the FOI Act 2000, please can you provide the following information regarding the outcomes per month, per year, of pupil data processing from the Department for Education after it was received by the Home Office, including but not only:

a) was data further onwardly shared beyond the Home Office, and if yes to whom (ie police / Border Force / Local govt)
b) interventions with a family or individuals
c) the nature of that intervention, ie removal, visa renewal, home visit, school visit etc please also state where outcome of the data processing is unknown

This is with regards to data sharing as set out in successive MOU / Data sharing agreeements since 2015 between the Home Office and Department for Education to match Home Office data with data from the National Pupil Database, and for DfE to return matched records to the Home Office, the volumes for which since 2015, have been published by the Department for Education > https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio... including:

a) pilot study in 2013 undertaken between the Home Office and Department for Education.
b) since July 2015, the monthly exchange for a range of purposes https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/3...
c) The sharing agreement between the Home Office and Department for Education updated in January 2019.

I would be pleased if you are able to provide this data as a spreadsheet, expanding on the format of information provided in the DfE external data shares :

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...

Month / Year
Number of records sent from Home Office to the DfE
Number of records shared from DfE to Home Office
Breakdown of number of records by what purpose/ outcome type after Home Office receipt

For example this might look like a horizontal table with:
January 2019
Number of records received from Home Office* 216
Number of records receieved from DfE 61
(Of the 61 there were)
30 onward referals to police with X results, or X unknown outcome
20 immigration enforcement (15 family members deported, 5 children)
11 no further processing

Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,

Jen Persson
