Dentists and Criminal Records
Dear General Dental Council,
A recent paper in the British Journal of Criminology looked at doctors with convictions and how these were handled by the General Medical Council. I would like to make a comparison with dentists/DCPs and the General Dental Council.
Therefore, please can you provide the numbers of registrants who have reported convictions over the period of 2006-2016 (separated into dentists and DCPs), and the case management outcome for all stages (from the investigatory outcome onwards, including voluntary removals and restorations).
Can you provide the outcome data as a table for:
Dangerous driving
Motoring Offences
Sex Offences
Child Sex abuse images
Violence
Manslaughter and Murder
Fraud and forgery
Theft and handling stolen goods
Drug offences
Criminal damage
Disorder offences
Other offences
Overseas offences
