Dear Natalia Lysiuk

Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000

In response to your request for information received at this office on 12
March 2021, please see the Council’s response below.

Our response
I am looking for information as to the authorities prediction of the
number of required placements over next 12 months, for adults with LD, and
ASD in the following service types:

* Supported Living

* Residential Care

We do not currently have any areas with identified inadequate supply or
lack of required provision for supported living or residential care for
adults with LD and ASC in Bolton. We are currently undertaking
commissioning and market intelligence work to identify future needs for
services and support across Bolton and each neighbourhood for up to 10
years ahead. This will help identify future commissioning intentions and
priorities including around specialist services and this will be shared
and/or communicated in due course once it has been completed. Bolton is
also contributing to joint work with other authorities across Greater
Manchester to understand needs for and to plan specialist care and support
services – this work is led and coordinated by Greater Manchester Health
and Care Partnership.

Should you have any queries, please contact

Yours sincerely
