In accordance with the act a public authority is only obliged to respond
to requests for recorded information and not those where this would mean
creating new information or giving an opinion or judgment; however Adult
Social Care have provided the answers below to your question.

 

Q

I am looking for information as to the authorities prediction of the
number of required placements over next 12 months, for adults with LD, and
ASD in the following service types:

* Supported Living

 

We only know of who needs support as a referral comes through, we have
started to develop a transitions tracker and Transforming care tracker but
it’s very much in its infancy.

 

Based on last year’s waiting list we had approximately 28 people requiring
supported living placement and we are preparing for the same amount of
people to come through possibly more in the next 12 months.

 

* Residential Care

 

Requests for placements come through in ad hoc basis based on families’
choice of what care and support they want for their loved ones.
