Debt Collection

We're waiting for Tom to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Staffordshire Moorlands District Council,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please send me:

1) Who is the the person responsible for council tax, business rates and parking collections and more specifically the enforcement of debts relating to these
2) Can you provide email and telephone contact details for the above person?
3) Do you have formal contracts with service level agreements for the enforcement of these debts?
4) If so, what are expiry dates for the contracts above?

I would like the above information to be provided to me as electronic copies

If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters.

I write further to my e-mail to you dated 28 January 2021, firstly, please
accept the Council’s apologies for the delay in responding to you.

I am advised that the Council’s response to your information request is as
follows.

1) Who is the person responsible for council tax, business rates and

Revenues and Benefits.
* Parking services is managed my Katy Webster, Head of Assets Service.

* Council tax and business rates – yes.
* Parking enforcement notices are managed by Stoke-on Trent City Council
on behalf of this Council through the County wide parking board. This
is an ongoing arrangement between Councils.
 

4) If so, what are expiry dates for the contracts above?

* 27.3.21
 
* Ongoing.
