Deaths post-covid vaccination all causes

Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency did not have the information requested.

Dear Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency,

I would like to have a report of all deaths in the UK (or in any of England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland) within 28 days of receiving a first or a second dose of any covid vaccines, attributed or not to any of these vaccines (deaths of all causes), between 8 December 2020 and 31 August 2021.

Possibly, I would like this information to be broken down:
- By age group
- By sex
- By first or second dose status

For your information, PHS published this information for Scotland until June 2021 in their official weekly covid report but have ceased to do so and to provide any update ever since.

Yours faithfully,

Steven McCloud

Dear MHRA Customer Services,

Your answer is not very serious from an agency whise very purpose is to follow up on the safety of medication. For your information, the ONS to this day does not provide this information. Where am I supposed to get it?

PH Scotland have made such publication in their weekly technical briefing until June but have not provide any update since. None of the other agencies do it. PH England are suggesting me to send my request to the ONS.

What sort of information do the MHRA produce concerning any deaths related or unrelated to covid vaccination?

Yours sincerely,

Steven McCloud

Pharmacovigilanceservice, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency

Dear Mr McCloud,

The MHRA has received 524 UK reports of suspected ADRs to the
Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in which the patient died shortly after
vaccination, 1,064 reports for the COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca, 16 for
the COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna and 28 where the brand of vaccine was
unspecified. The majority of these reports were in elderly people or
people with underlying illness. Usage of the vaccines has increased over
the course of the campaigns and as such, so has reporting of fatal events
with a temporal association with vaccination however, this does not
indicate a link between vaccination and the fatalities reported. Review of
individual reports and patterns of reporting does not suggest the vaccines
played a role in these deaths.

Please note this information is taken from the link provided in response
to your initial request.

Dear Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency's handling of my FOI request 'Deaths post-covid vaccination all causes'.

[ GIVE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR COMPLAINT HERE ]

The role of the MHRA is to review and control the safety of drugs that are authorised for use in the public. Following on the deaths of all causes in a set time, consecutive to a drug or vaccine intake is a key tool for measuring safey, as it allows an analysis of potential overmortality. This cannot be correctly assessed by the simple and primitive analysis of cases reported by the public health. Everybody knows that the reporting of adverse cases or deaths is notoriously underestimated and the causation analysis can be biased and partial.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,

Steven McCloud
