DCMS / BDUK letters sent to CCC re: Release of Broadband Coverage Information

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

Dear Cumbria County Council,

At the Public Accounts Committe meeting on Monday the 27th January 2014, chaired by Margaret Hodge, when discussing Broadband and 7 digit postcode coverage maps, Jon Zeff of the DCMS said that they would write to local authorities to make it absolutely clear that there should not be any barrier to their publishing (this coverage) information. There was also a reference to having written to the Local Authorities on this matter earlier.

Can I have site of the two letters sent by the DCMS / BDUK to Cumbria County Council regarding the release of postcode level information related to proposed broadband coverage.

Yours faithfully,
Martin Campbell

Dear FreedomofInformation, CCC,

Thank you. Please also note that you are also late responding to my first, related FOI request, 2014-0216. This is the more important one. I have also promoted you for that after the legal deadline, but received no reply.

Yours sincerely,

Martin Campbell

Dear FreedomofInformation, CCC,

To say you don't hold this information seems to be at odds with the reply given by the DCMS - who said they sent CCC the letter and advice you can see from the link below.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Can you let me know if CCC received this advice as per the DCMS reply.

Yours sincerely,
Martin Campbell
