5. How many compliance (DBS) checks are conducted, on average each month in 17/18?

6. How many staff on average, are involved in compliance and reference checking process in 17/18?

7. How many hours per month, on average are spent on compliance (DBS) and reference checking in 17/18?

8. Does your organisation currently have a third-party provider for compliance (DBS) and reference checking?

a) If yes, please list the supplier(s)

b) What were the costs associated with compliance (DBS) and reference checking to the organisation in 2017/18?

c) Contract Start Date

d) Contract End Date

e) Did you use a framework to procure their services?

f) If yes, what framework did you procure them through?

In order to response to your request, we require some clarification.

 

1.      When you refer to DBS compliance, is this regarding new start,s
existing staff or both?

2.      When you refer to reference checking, is this requesting
references, checking receives which have been received, issuing references
for former members of staff or all of the above?

3.      Can you please explain what sort of information you are looking
for, in regards to question three. E.g. are you wanting a breakdown of the
different levels?

4.      In regards to question 6, is this just regarding DBS compliance
and reference checking?

 

Please note that under the Freedom of Information Act, that because we
have requested clarfication this request is now on hold, and the 20
working days to respond will start upon receiving the clarification
required.

 

If we do not receive clarification within 60 working days of this email,
we will close the request and inform you that we have done so.

Dear FOI (YORKSHIRE AMBULANCE SERVICE NHS TRUST),

Thank you for your response,

1. DBS compliance in this case relates to new starters undergoing their pre-recruitment DBS checks.

2. This relates to checking received references from previous employers

3. yes please, as much of a breakdown as you are able to provide regarding the details within the acceptable time restraints.

6. This question relates to any staff member that within their normal role would have to engage in some way with processing reference checks or DBS. This could include HR teams, administration teams and/or Managers

Hopefully this will have provided some clarity, please let me know if you need any further information on this.
