Dear Danvm Drainage Commissioners,
FAO: The Clerk to the Board Mr I Benn

Thank you for the reply dated 11 February 2015 posted by Mrs Briggs. Notification was received via the What Do They Know website today, i.e. 15 February 2015.

The DDC meeting of 6 February 2015 was observed by members of the public who heard a brief report of the work of the Task & Finish Group looking into the improvements the Board have impemented in terms of the Governance overseen and delivered by the Shire Group of IDBs management service provision to the Board.

The document referred to in the response is, we understand, a working document and it was noted that there are still pieces of work remaining to be completed. Thereafter that the Recommendation Status of the Governance Audit Report findings will be subject to a further review and ultimately they will be signed off by the DMBC Audit Team as completed. Perhaps you could be so kind as to clarify this point from Shire Group perspective please?

We would further record that the Board are to be commended in their agreement to open all Board meetings (including sub-committees) to members of the public. We acknowledge that this is trial for one year only. This is, in the opinion of the Forum Executive, a step in the right direction of ensuring that there is demonstrable open and transparent conduct of business delivered by Public Bodies.

The Executive would be most appreciative if you would ensure that the above is relayed to the Commissioners.

Yours faithfully,

The Executive,
Thorne & Hatfield Moors Conservation Forum
