Crossrail station platform automated announcements.

The request was successful.

Dear Transport for London,

I am making a Freedom Of Information Act request.

I wish to ask the following questions regarding the new station platform automated announcements voiced by Emma Hignett at the new Crossrail station platforms that recently opened. These are the Crossrail platforms at, Abbey Wood, Bond Street, Canary Wharf, Custom House, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, Paddington, Tottenham Court Road, Whitechapel, Woolwich, stations. The station platform automated announcements at the Crossrail platforms at these newly opened stations are the ones i am referring to. I am not talking about the ones at the ex TFL Rail or Abellio Greater Anglia or Great Western Railway stations at each ends of the core.

1. Can you please attach the sound files of these announcements.

2. Can you please attach the scripts of these announcements.

3. Can you please advise which company provides this automated announcements system.

4. Can you please advise the cost you paid for this automated announcements system.

If you could upload the files here that would be great but if not my email address is:

Thank you very much for your help.

I look forward to your reply.

Yours faithfully,

David White

NU – Numbers

SA – Station announcements

RE – Reasons

SN – Station Names

LN – Lines

TA – Extras

3. Can you please advise which company provides this automated
announcements system. The system which plays the announcements was
manufactured by Siemens under contract to Crossrail limited

4. Can you please advise the cost you paid for this automated
announcements system.  It is not possible to quantify the cost for
individual System elements for the announcing system, as it forms part of
a much wider package of works to deliver many railway systems by Crossrail
limited.
