Cronyism, Favouritism and Nepotism Recording Policies at the University of Dundee, Do They Exist?

Roedd y cais yn rhannol lwyddiannus.

SJA Grove (Ataliwyd y cyfrif)

Dear University of Dundee,

I am interested to know what, if any, policies and procedures are in place at the University of Dundee to record the access to jobs and/or university awards in return for earlier academic connections/favours/kinship relations.

What policies and procedures are in place to RECORD the access to university jobs (e.g. Wellcome Trust funded training roles such as the WCAIR Medicinal Chemistry Trainer) to the former and recent University of Dundee PhD students of tenured staff and/or university awards such as The Brian Cox Award for Public Engagement to the former laboratory supervisors of tenured staff's offspring during the University of Dundee-sponsored work experience placement of the tenured staff's offspring?

When did these cronyism, favouritism and nepotism recording policies and procedures, should they exist, come into effect?

What level of University of Dundee employee management authority within the University of Dundee is responsible and accountable for recording incidences of cronyism, favouritism and nepotism, should such a policy exist and should such incidences occur?

How many relatives of tenured staff undertook work experience placements at the University of Dundee School of Life Sciences in each of the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017?

How many tenured staff at University of Dundee School of Life Sciences used the University of Dundee for the work experience placements for their children or other relatives in each of the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017?

Yours faithfully,

SJA Grove
