Dear Inverclyde Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Inverclyde Council's handling of my FOI request 'Criminal Investigations'.
Thank you for your response stating that no officers in your authority are employed to undertake criminal investigations. I think that my request may have been misunderstood, for reason unknown to myself, the request asks for the number of officers who are employed to undertake criminal investigations not solely employed to undertake such investigations. I would therefore have envisaged that officers within the authority undertaking roles within trading standards, environmental health, fraud investigations, planning enforcement, licencing standards etc as part of there duties maybe required to undertake investigatory work which could result in the submission of a report to crown office and procurator fiscal Service.
I trust that sufficient clarification had been provided to allow you to respond to my original all questions.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...
Yours faithfully,
James McKay
