Covid-19 death statistics
Dear Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust,
As of 4pm on 13th July, 2021, NHS England reports that 1,623 patients have sadly died in your hospitals, having tested positive for Covid-19.
1. How many of these 1,623 patients had a DNACPR order (or similar decision) on their records?
2. How many of these 1,623 patients only cause of death was recorded as 'U07.1 Covid-19', with no other causes mentioned anywhere on their death certificate?
3. How many of these 1,623 patients died with a disease of the respiratory system (J00-J99) mentioned anywhere on their death certificate?

With reference to your request made under the Freedom of Information Act, Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust acknowledges receipt of your request for information and informs you that the process has been instigated. Our Reference number should be used in all future correspondence.
Requests for information from one of the Care Organisations making up Pennine Acute Trust (Fairfield General Hospital, Rochdale Infirmary, The Royal Oldham Hospital and associated Community Services) are now processed from the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust base of the Northern Care Alliance.
From 1st April, 2021, North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) joined Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). If your request is in relation to NMGH, we will process your request on this occasion. However, any future requests will need to be sent to [email address]
In accordance with Trust policy and the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, a period of 20 working days is assigned for processing your request.
