Dear Public Health England,

I am writing to request the breakdown of covid19 test results by lab type in England (and Wales if available) for the period 1st April 2020 to 1st Feb 2021. The lab type breakdown should include the approximate location of the lab (by geographical region or health district) and specifically whether this lab is an NHS lab or a Lighthouse lab or any other 3rd party lab.

The data should be provided as daily data and include:
1. total number of tests
2. total number of positive tests
3. name of lab or approx location
4. type of lab (as above)

If you are unable to provide this data for the full time interval specified please provide data for the reduced time interval with an explanation.

As such, you may experience delays when making statutory information access requests during the pandemic.

We will aim to address all requests promptly and within the required response timeframes. However when we are unable to meet the response timeframe we will keep requesters updated on a revised expected timescale for a response to their request.
