Dear Aberdeen City Council,

I would like the boundaries of the current wards used for council elections, provided as a shapefile suitable for importing into QGIS/postgis. All I'm interested in is the name and boundary however if other information about each ward (such as a meaningful ID or number of councillors) is present in the table containing the boundary then please include those columns too.

Thank you for your information request. We have completed the necessary
search for the information requested. Our response is now detailed below.

 

I would like the boundaries of the current wards used for council
elections, provided as a shapefile suitable for importing into
QGIS/postgis. All I'm interested in is the name and boundary however if
other information about each ward (such as a meaningful ID or number of
councillors) is present in the table containing the boundary then please
include those columns too.

We are unable to provide you with information on current wards used for
elections. In order to comply with its obligations under the terms of
Section 17 of the FOISA, we are informing you that we do not hold this
information. We handled your request for information in accordance with
the provisions of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

We do not hold GIS data of ward boundaries.

The Ordnance Survey holds this information as open data, which is
downloadable from the link below:

Survey website at the link below:
