Council tax exemption for students - contact details for Oxford Brookes University

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Oxford City Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Oxford City Council,

Can you please clarify who the council contacts at Oxford Brookes University to confirm that a student is a valid full time student and can therefore claim exemption from council tax. I would appreciate if you can provide me an email address for the contact and a phone number if this is available.

Thank you for your assistance

Dear Oxford City Council,

Thank you for your reply.
The issue I have is that I have been told that Oxford City Council contacts Oxford Brookes University but Oxford Brookes University are unable to tell me who is responsible for providing a reply there.
Is there any way to progress this?

Yours faithfully,

Alex Lalvani

Dear Oxford City Council,

I will rephrase my question to avoid any disclosure of personal information.

1) Does Oxford City Council contact Oxford Brookes University to confirm whether a student is a full time student or not for the purposes of Council Tax Exemption?

2) If there answer to 1 is Yes then is there just a single person who is contacted at Oxford Brookes University or a particular department? If a department then can the department contact details be provided please.

Thank you for your assistance with this.

Dear Oxford City Council,

Thank you for the reply, can you please reply to the final point

'If a department then can the department contact details be provided please'

You mentioned that 'the admin team' is contacted which does not sound like it is one individual so this shouldn't be a problem to give out these details but let me know if this is not the case.

Regards,

Alex Lalvani
