1) The number of people on the council’s housing waiting list?
2) How many people are in each band of priority?
3) How many properties in the council’s housing stock, and how many are vacant?
4) What is the longest time a person has been on the waiting list?

Dear Mr Jaines,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding: Council
Housing Waiting Lists.
We can confirm your request was received on 01 August 2023. This will be

Dear Mr Jaines,
We refer to previous correspondence regarding your request for information
relating to: Council Housing Waiting Lists.
The information is given below:
1) The number of people on the council’s housing waiting list? 2497
2) How many people are in each band of priority? Band 1 – 110, Band 2 –
559, Band 3 – 558, Band 4 - 1270
3) How many properties in the council’s housing stock, and how many are
vacant? Stock 3997 33 Vacant currently
4) What is the longest time a person has been on the waiting list? Unable
to report accurately as our system changed in April 2018, existing cases
migrated across and contained a default date to reflect. This means the
longest a case has been on the waiting list is currently 5 years.
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response,
quoting the above reference number, via email at: [North Kesteven District Council request email] or
by post to North Kesteven District Council, Corporate and Customer
Services, Kesteven Street, Sleaford, Lincs, NG34 7EF.
If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
