Dear Croydon Borough Council,
Coulsdon Yulefest is a street festival normally held each year on the first Saturday of December on the Brighton Road between Lion Green Road and Chipstead Valley Road in Coulsdon.
Due to the Chinese virus, it could not be held during 2020.
Is there any body or organisation known to the council that organises or is responsible for this event?
Does the council have contact details for those responsible for arranging this event on the public highway?
Please provide the main known contact.
Has the council seen any accounts for the event for any of the years 2013-2019 inclusive?
If so, please provide a copy.
It is known that this event requires Road Closures, Traffic Management Orders, Signs and Barriers etc, presumably provided by the council.
For each of the years 2013 to 2019 inclusive, please provide a list of all sums of money:
1 Paid TO Croydon Council in connection with this event,
2 Paid BY Croydon Council in connection with this event,
In each case, please state the other party who the payment was made to or by, along with its purpose.
Has the event ever been mentioned in Your Croydon or similar?
If so, what is the value of that advertising?
What estimate does the council have of any economic benefit and disbenefit to the local economy from this event - for example any extra or lost business for local shops and other premises?
Has the council conducted or will it conduct any survey or other assessment of the views of local people and local business of this event?
Has the council received - at any time from the start of 2013 to date - any request from any Coulsdon councillor for any council funding for this event?
If so, please provide the relevant email and reply.
