Cost of standby

We're waiting for crsig cummings to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear City of Edinburgh Council,

I would like a complete breakdown of the cost to the council of the late team that operates from the community equipment service.

the cost of standby, call out and the grades of the staff Involved.

The total cost of a typical call out at 5pm to fit a profiling bed to a clients home.
A copy of the overtime claims made by these staff from the "my HR" system would be benificial, obiously omitting any staff names or identifing numbers from said documents

Yours faithfully,

craig cummings

Dear Mr Cummings

Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Partial Release of
Information

Request for information relating to the costs of the standby service

Thank you for your request for information, which has been dealt with
under the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Your
request is for information relating to the standby team operating from the
Community Equipment Service.

Q1. The cost of standby, call out and the grades of the staff involved.

Q3. A copy of the overtime claims made by these staff from the 'my HR'
system would be beneficial.

The costs of standby and call out payments are provided below.

|  |Period |Timescale |Rate |

The grades of staff providing the standby service are personal information
and to release this would be in breach of the Data Protection Act 1998.
This information is therefore exempt under Section 38 of FOI(S)A. The
Council believes it is reasonable that the staff have an expectation that
their salaries would not become public information under FOI(S)A. The
Council also believes that staff’s right to privacy outweighs public
interest in this information. This exemption also applies to the
information requested in question 3. The maximum grade at which overtime
is paid for the standby team is grade 7.

Q2. The total cost of a typical call out at 5pm to fit a profiling bed to
a client’s home.

As every call out is different and contains a number of variables, such as
the location of the service user, traffic and weather conditions, this
information is not held by the Council.

Please note that this letter constitutes a formal refusal notice for all
information not held by the Council under section 17 of the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

To promote transparency and accountability, please note it is the
Council’s policy to publish all request details and responses made under
the freedom of information legislation. This information will be made
available through the Council’s website and will not include your personal
details. The disclosure log is available at the following link:
