Cost codes

Dear South Holland District Council,

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

I wish to receive a list of your organisation’s cost codes and a description of what each code stands for. I use the term “cost codes” to refer to codes used by the council relating to a specific area of spending. If the council uses a different term for such spending areas, I would like to be informed of such difference.

I would like this information to be presented as follows:

Cost code: xxxx Description: xxxx (what this cost code represents)

I would like to receive this information electronically, in an Excel spreadsheet. If you feel that a substantive response to this request is not possible within a reasonable time frame I would be grateful if you could contact me and provide assistance as to how I can refine the request. I look forward to receiving a response in 20 working days. Many thanks.

I have looked into the fact that we do not appear to have a record raised
for your request, and in doing so have found your request which clearly

FOI - Cost Codes Ref: SFOI-003971

Further to you email today, I again apologise for the oversight of your
request which had been moved into our ’processed’ folder in error.

South Holland District Council acknowledges receipt of your request for
information on 14 September 2017.

Your request is being considered and you will receive the information
requested as soon as possible,  subject to the information not being
exempt or containing a reference to a third party.   I have suggested 29
December 2017 as a new date by which you should received a response, in
order to give the relevant team adequate time to pull the information
together.  I acknowledge that this is now well-beyond the timelimits set
by the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

If appropriate, the information may be provided in paper copy, normal font
size. If you require alternative formats, e.g. language, audio, large
print, etc. then please let me know.

For your information, the Act defines a number of exemptions which may
prevent release of the information you have requested. There will be an
assessment and if any of the exemption categories apply then the
information will not be released. You will be informed if this is the
case, including your rights of appeal.

If the information you request contains reference to a third party then
they may be consulted prior to a decision being taken on whether or not to
release the information to you. You will be informed if this is the case.

There may a fee payable for this information. This will be considered and
you will be informed if a fee is payable. In this event the fee must be
paid before the information is processed and released. The 20 working day
time limit for responses is suspended until receipt of the payment.
