Convicted pedophiles/child sex abusers still working as politicians and members of P.I.E

Tŷ'r Cyffredin Nid oedd gan y wybodaeth y gofynnwyd amdani.

Dear Information Officer to the House of Commons,

In light of Tom O'Carroll, the previous and or current member of P.I.E being allowed to join the Labour party and the knowledge of previous paedophiles/rapists/child molesters that have been in parliament over the years, I request under the Freedom of Information Act, a list to become public knowledge, of the names of all and every current serving politician in England, that has a criminal conviction(s) for sexual abuse against a child or children, outlining what the offenses were, the date of the offence(s), the date of the conviction(s), if and how long they were required to sign on the sex offenders register and if any on the list were any of the 700 names that were recently removed off of said sex offenders register, please.

Furthermore, I require a list of any other politician(s) currently serving in England that are or were also members of P.I.E. Thank you.

Harriet Harman was lobbying to have the sexual age of consent dropped to 14 some time ago, and I believe she also had some involvement with P.I.E.

I am also aware of the D-Notice put in place by the war criminal and sex solicitor (whos name should be on the list, even though his records strangely went missing) Anthony Charles Lynton Blair in 2003, against all reporters to 'not' publicize the list of politicians names that were given to the guardian newspaper by the FBI, that were found to have used their credit cards to purchase online child pornography, re. Operation Ore.
Anyone that ignored the Notice and did would face 30 years in prison, so from the press to parliament there are pedophiles and pedophile protectors everywhere, people that we are supposed to trust, respect, believe and rely on!!!!!
Without mentioning every aspect of disgrace that has or does step foot in that demonic building the long and short of it is, these people should not be in, or have ANY position of power, anyone with even an inch of sanity would agree I am sure, that it is completely sickening and degrading to the British public, to have anybody that thinks it is okay and normal to have sexual relations with or abuse, molest and rape a child/minor (or anyone for that matter) in Parliament and running our towns and country.

I hope you can assist me in this matter within you're best and full capacity, or direct me to the correct department that can or may, be able to supply me with such lists.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to you're speedy response.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Lee Edwardes,

Freedom of Information Request F18-477

Thank you for your request for information as copied below. We understand
your request to be relating to Members of Parliament with criminal
convictions for child sexual abuse, or who are or were members of the
Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE). We have sought to answer these
questions below.

Please note that the term “politician” may also refer to Members of the
House of Lords, which is a separate organisation for the purposes of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.  You may wish to consider forwarding your
request to them. Requests for information relating to the House of Lords
should be directed to [1][email address].

 1. A list of the names of all current MPs in England that has a criminal
conviction for sexual abuse against a child or children, including
details of what the offenses were, the date of the offence(s), the
date of the conviction(s), if and how long they were required to sign
on the sex offenders register, and if any on the list were any of the
700 names that were recently removed from the Sex Offenders’ Register.

Information about MPs currently having criminal convictions is not held by
the House of Commons. Members are not obliged to provide this information
to the House of Commons.  The information you require may be held by the
Police and you may therefore wish to consider submitting your request to
them.  The contact details of the various Police Forces are available
online or from any public library.

Alternatively, you may wish to consider contacting the individual Members
concerned to ask for the information you seek; contact details are
available at: [2]http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-o....
However, Members of Parliament are not public authorities for the purposes
of the Freedom of Information Act. This means that they are not obliged to
respond to requests made under the Act.

It may help you to know that, if a Member of Parliament is taken into
Police custody (for example when arrested, or given a custodial sentence
after a trial) and this prevents the Member from attending the House, the
Police inform the Speaker in writing.  This letter is then laid on the
Table of the House and recorded in Hansard, which is available here:
[3]https://hansard.parliament.uk/.

In addition, the House of Commons Library have prepared a research
briefing on arrests and convictions of Members which is also available on
the parliamentary website here:
[4]http://researchbriefings.parliament.uk/R....

 2. A list of any other MPs currently serving in England that are or were
also members of PIE.

This information is not held by the House of Commons. Members are not
obliged to provide this information to the House of Commons but, as stated
previously, you may wish to consider contacting the individual Members
concerned to ask for the information you seek.

You may, if dissatisfied with the handling of your request, complain to
the House of Commons. Alternatively, if you are dissatisfied with the
outcome of your request you may ask the House of Commons to conduct an
internal review of any decision regarding your request.  Complaints or
requests for internal review should be addressed to: Information Rights
and Information Security Service, Research & Information Team, House of
Commons, London SW1A 0AA or [5][House of Commons request email].  Please ensure
that you specify the full reasons for your complaint or internal review
along with any arguments or points that you wish to make.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may appeal to the Information Commissioner
at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF,
[6]www.ico.gov.uk.

Yours sincerely,

Dear FOI Commons,
are you serious 'Members are not obliged to provide this information
to the House of Commons' ..... so members, whilst serving, can have convictions of any sort including obviously child abuse/rape of a child or any other conviction of a sexual nature, as long as they are 'conveniently' not summonsed to the house by the speaker during the prosecution period, or have past convictions.... yet are still able to operate or become members, Lords or MP's of this Common Law land, is that what you are saying? Surely not.
When any individual goes for a job interview, there are questions relating to if they have had a criminal past or not, how would it be possible for someone as an MP or in the process of becoming one, NOT be obligated to share that information, when they are in hind site the people to be a part of running and standing for England/Great Britain/United Kingdom? can you please answer that.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Lee Edwardes,

Freedom of Information Request F18-477 - Clarification

Thank you for your email requesting a further clarification to our FOI
response copied below. We are sorry that you were unhappy with our
response and hope that further information will be helpful on this
occasion.

You asked “Are you serious 'Members are not obliged to provide this
information to the House of Commons' ..... so Members, whilst serving, can
have convictions of any sort including obviously child abuse/rape of a
child or any other conviction of a sexual nature, as long as they are
'conveniently' not summonsed to the house by the speaker during the
prosecution period, or have past convictions.... yet are still able to
operate or become members, Lords or MP's of this Common Law land, is that
what you are saying? Surely not.”

We advised you that Members of Parliament are not obliged to provide this
information to the House of Commons, and this is correct.  Members of
Parliament are not employees of the House of Commons, rather, they operate
in a similar way to 650 small businesses that attend the House to carry
out their duties.  The House Administration provides support to Members to
allow them to carry out their roles and we may hold some information
related to that support; for example, we may hold information about rooms
a Member books to carry out meetings, but we would not hold details of the
meetings themselves.

It may also help you to know that it is the British people who elect
Members to represent them in the House of Commons.  If you wish to know
more about the selection processes of the various political parties who
support candidates standing for elections, you should contact the
political parties directly.

Once a Member is elected by the people, the House Administration may not
interfere with their duties or prevent them from carrying their work.
However, the Recall of MPs Act 2015 provides a process where the
electorate in an area can trigger a special election to remove an elected
representative between scheduled elections.  This might occur if a Member
is successfully prosecuted for a criminal offence and sentenced to a
custodial sentence, rendering them unable to represent their
constituency.  Further information about this can be found here:
[1]https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/ins....

You also asked “When any individual goes for a job interview, there are
questions relating to if they have had a criminal past or not, how would
it be possible for someone as an MP or in the process of becoming one, NOT
be obligated to share that information, when they are in hind site the
people to be a part of running and standing for England/Great
Britain/United Kingdom? can you please answer that.”

As we have already advised, Members of Parliament are not employees of the
House Administration.  If a person wishes to stand as an electoral
candidate for a political party, there may be certain checks carried out,
although that is information held by the parties rather than the House of
Commons.  In addition, the Electoral Commission, who are responsible for
elections in Britain, provide advice and information for political parties
and prospective candidates, and they may also be able to help with your
queries, including imprisonment and court decisions which disqualify
candidates from standing in elections.  The Electoral Commission’s website
can be found here: [2]https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/.

I hope these answers clarify your queries and I am sorry that I cannot be
of any more help in this case.

Kind regards,
