Dear Sutton Housing Partnership,

I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act for answers to the following questions.

1. How many properties do you currently manage.
2. How many projects for improvement work to these properties with a contract value in excess of £10,000 were awarded in the period 01/04/2015 to 30/06/2016.
3. Of these projects, how many were awarded either in full or in part to Mulalley and Co Ltd or it's parents/subsidiaries.
4. Of these projects awarded in number 3, on how many occasions were alternative quotes or tenders sought.
5. Of the total number from question 4, on how many occasions were Mulalley and Co the lowest priced contractors to tender/quote.
6. a)What was the total spend for improvement works to housing stock in the period designated.
b)What percentage of this overall spend was allocated to Mulalley and Co Ltd.

concerning Contracts For Major Improvement Works.

 

Please find below the answers to your request.

 

1.       How many properties do you currently manage?

5914 rented and 1483 leasehold dwellings as at 30-7

 

2.       How many projects for improvement work to these properties with a
contract value in excess of £10,000 were awarded in the period 01/04/2015
to 30/06/2016.

The programme of major works is composed of both major repairs and
improvements.  The contracts issued for major works and improvements
undertaken between 01/04/2015 – 30/06/2016 were issued before April 2015. 

 

SHP was responsible for 25 capital programme project areas in 2015/16 and
26 in 2016/17, of which:

 

Year 15/16 – 01/04/2015-31/03/2016   

19x excess £10,000                                                        

6x below £10,000

 

Year 16/17 – 01/04/2016-31/03/2017      

19x excess £10,000                                                        

1x below £10, 000

 

3.       Of these projects, how many were awarded either in full or in
part to Mulalley and Co Ltd or it's parents/subsidiaries.

Year 15/16 – 01/04/2015-31/03/2016

Year 16/17 (to date)–01/04/2016-30/07/2016

Nb: As long standing contractual agreements expire, further projects are
planned to be tendered and awarded as the year progresses.

years ago, therefore they were not required to retender for works
commenced in 2015/16 or 2016/17.

£27,029,029 Spend
