Training of Nurses

information regarding the training of qualified nurses.

Your request for information has now been considered. I will answer your

· I also would like to request the annual budget spent on nurse

The Trust receives an allocation from the SHA (Strategic Health Authority)
each year for ALL professional groups (not including doctors) and this is
then divided by headcount. For 2009/10 the allocation for nurses was
£86K (midwives not included). Not all this money comes into the Trust
as some goes directly to the universities; dependant on the courses the
Trust commissions. In addition, the Trust also uses some charitable
funds.
