Dear Education Authority, Northern Ireland,

I am requesting the names and postal and email addresses of all primary schools (and other educational settings) in Northern Ireland including any educational establishments that have primary aged pupils (4-11).

Please include the age range of the pupils at each school (setting) and the number of pupils on roll.

Please include the name of the current headteacher and the headteacher's email address. If not available, please provide an alternative contact email address for a senior leader in school.

In response to the challenges arising as a result of the as the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and in line with government guidelines the Authority is operating with certain restrictions in place. These include: - many staff working remotely; limited access to the Authority’s buildings and the diversion of resources to critical services, all of which may have an impact on our ability to obtain information and records. It may therefore not be possible to provide a response to your information request within the usual 20 working days statutory time frame.

Email encryption

The Education Authority wishes to ensure that all potentially confidential information sent by the Authority is secure in transit, so we have introduced an email encryption system i.e. Barracuda Email Encryption System. Please note that any future email correspondence which you receive from the Information Governance Unit will be encrypted via Barracuda Email Encryption.
The first time you receive an email from the Information Governance Unit which has been protected via Barracuda Email Encryption, you will receive a message asking you to access the Barracuda Message Centre to view encrypted emails. There you will be prompted to create an account which is linked to your email address. Once you have done so, all subsequent interactions with the Barracuda Message Centre will only require you to enter the password which you set up upon creating your account.
