Dear Natural England,

I understand that Natural England provided assent to the Forestry Commission and/or the New Forest Pony Breeders and Cattle Society in regard to the Point 2 Point organised horse race in the New Forest on 26/12/2014.

The assent under Section 28H Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended) was received by one or both of the organisations named above on 12/11/2014.

Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act (2000), please could you supply the following:

· The information provided by the applicant in order to seek consent e.g. the completed application form
· A full copy of the assent provided by Natural England, including the conditions of attached to the assent
· Copies of all internal correspondence relating to the preparation and granting of the assent, including correspondence relating to the potential impact of the parking of motor vehicles on the open forest and the potential impact of this on the SSSI condition.
· The condition status of the SSSI prior to the event
· The condition status of the SSSI post event, evidenced
· All monitoring requirements attached to the assent to determine how the event and its associated activities, such as the parking of motor vehicles on the open forest, impact on the condition of the SSSI.
· The results of such monitoring.
· The details of any remedial action required to be undertaken by the event organiser, or land manager, in order to return the SSSI to its pre-event condition, including the timescale for implementation of such remedial action, and evidence of Natural England sign off.
