Dear Belfast City Council,

I was wondering if you could send me a breakdown of Belfast by area, with nominated religion's. For example,

Crumlin Road - 40% Catholic, 30% Protestant, 30% Undetermined/Other
(This is an example and is not accurate).

If it is easier to do it in map form then that's great. There does not seem to be anywhere that breakdown the areas with all religions, nor does it give any indication on what streets in what areas may be of mixed religions.

I hope this makes sense.

Yours faithfully,

Nicole English

Dear Ms English

Thank you for your email dated 21 June 2019 requesting, under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000, a breakdown of Belfast by area with nominated
religions.

I can confirm that Belfast City Council does not hold the specific
information you have requested.  However, the Northern Ireland Statistics
and Research Agency (NISRA) may be able to assist you with your query.
The NISRA is the statutory body and principle source of official
information on Northern Ireland’s population and socio-economic
conditions. You may, therefore, wish to redirect your request to the
NISRA.  Their e-mail address is [1][email address]

If you are dissatisfied with how the Council handled your request for
information, you have the right to request that the Council formally
review this decision.  If you wish to do so, please write to the Records
Manager, Information Governance Unit, Legal and Civic Services, Belfast
City Council, City Hall, Belfast, BT1 5GS.

Should you remain dissatisfied following the Council’s internal review,
you can seek an independent review from the Information Commissioner.
Requests for an independent review should be made in writing to: The
Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire,
SK9 5AF.  However, I would advise you that the Information Commissioner
has indicated that a review will not be undertaken unless the Council has
first had an opportunity to re-consider its decision.

If you have any queries about this email, please contact me.

Yours sincerely

Dear Brendan,

Unfortunately, it did not show up the email as WDTK (What Do They Know) blocks them for spam purposes. Is it the general information email on the NI Stats website? If so, I'll use that one. If it is another one are you able to post it again with spaces? Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Yours sincerely,

Nicole
