Conscience money

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Her Majesty’s Treasury,

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, can I ask for the total amount of 'conscience money' (a) paid into the Consolidated Fund, (b) paid to reduce the national debt, for each financial year since 2002-03?

'Conscience money' is referred to in budgeting guidance as "people guiltily and voluntarily paying over money in respect of past unpaid tax" although it may also include other contributions from people who decide voluntarily to assist national finances without having previously evaded taxation.

Yours faithfully,

David Boothroyd
