Thank you for your email of 24 January 2021; we have treated this as a
Freedom of Information request. You have asked for the following
information, please see our responses below in blue:
i) That Barnet Homes are legally responsible for
ensuring the necessary planning and building control certifications are
secured for any such alterations to their stock.
Barnet Homes does not have any stock as we are the ALMO of the London
Borough of Barnet (LBB) and manage their stock - we have a management
agreement with LBB and follow their processes.
ii) That Barnet Homes remain liable for making
good/recompense for damage to neighbouring properties where defective work
has been carried out on their properties.
Barnet Homes does not have any properties. We are the ALMO of the London
Borough of Barnet and manage their stock, where work is carried out in
alterations to properties we manage, we follow the Party Wall process with
adjoining properties.
