Concessionary travel passes
Dear National Assembly for Wales,
Concessionary travel passes are used mainly by vulnerable people who would not otherwise travel.
The majority of journeys are made during off-peak periods when underutilised transport has to run.
Actual costs are insignificant and individuals spending potential is made available in the community.
Please quantify costs of Concessionary travel passes factoring above comments into your equations.
Yours faithfully,
Mike Miles

Dear ES&T - FOI,
Thank you for your communication.
I wish to clarify the minimal costs incurred to the Government by tapping under utilised bus services.
Your construal of my request seems appropriate.
Concessionary travel has been used to stigmatise older people.
Yours sincerely,

Dear ES&T - FOI,
Whilst I have received your reply the request for perceived costs of concessionary bus passes has not been addressed.
We are aware that subsidies are allocated to transport providers.
Any costs incurred for the use of bus passes is trivial but has been used to stigmatise holders for political purposes.
Please provide the appropriate information requested.
Yours sincerely,
M J Miles
