Comparative values of the pound (non fiat)

Dear Her Majesty's Treasury,

I am sure you will be well aware that the origin of currency including pounds is related to receipts for precious metals, hence pounds sterling.

Since pounds sterling are now unbacked, does the Treasury still generate reports relating the quantity of pounds in the system compared to gold or silver (which I note are still traded as currencies, not just as commodities)?

If so what reports are generated?

And what is their purpose?
