Would you please provide me with the following information:

How many 'Accredited Persons' have been granted powers under the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) by the Chief Constable of your police force?

Please provide details of which powers these people have been granted.

Please provide details of the organisation employing any 'Accredited Persons'.

Please provide details of the training undergone by these persons in order to satisfy the requirements of the CSAS in line with section 40 of the Police Reform Act 2002, relative to each power granted.

Please provide details of how regularly these persons are checked. I.e. training up to date and what checks are made.

Please proved contact details of the Officer(s)/Person(s) dealing with such CSAS in your force.

Please provide details of the criteria requirements for CSAS scheme in your force.

below;

Question 2: VOSA:

Power to stop vehicles for testing: Paragraph 8 of Schedule 5 to the Police
Reform Act 2002

Cheshire East Council:
· The issue of fixed penalty notices in respect of:
· Littering
· Dog fouling
· Cycling on a footpath
· The issue of penalty notices for disorder in respect of:
· Throwing fireworks
· Drinking in a designated public area
· Consumption of alcohol by a person under 18 or allowing such
consumption
· Power to remove abandoned vehicles
· Power to stop cycles
· Power to control traffic for purposes other than escorting a load of
exceptional dimensions
· Power to require name and address for road traffic offences
· Power to require giving of name and address
· Power to require persons drinking in designated places to surrender
alcohol
· Power to require persons aged under 18 to surrender alcohol
· Power to require giving of name and address for anti-social behaviour
· Power to deal with begging
· Power to photograph persons away from a Police Station.

Cheshire West and Chester Wardens:

· Power to request name and address of a person begging
· Power to request name and address of a person believed to have been
acting, or to be acting, in an anti-social manner
· Power to require name and address of a driver or pedestrian who fails
to follow appropriate directions
· Power to require persons drinking in designated places to surrender
alcohol
· Power to require persons aged under 18 to surrender alcohol
· Power to remove abandoned vehicles
· Power to stop cycles
· Power to control traffic for purposes other than escorting a load of
exceptional dimensions

VOSA
Cheshire West and Chester Council
Cheshire East Council

Question 4:

VOSA - complete training in stopping vehicles from the local constabulary

Cheshire East and Cheshire West & Chester Councils - Wardens attended
training courses for Community Safety Accreditation and/or received
training by Cheshire Constabulary staff.

Question 5:

All applicants are fully vetted to police standards every three years
including finance checks during the application and reapplication
process. Copies of all certificates of training are required with the
application/reapplication.
