Dear North Northamptonshire Council,

Please can you confirm if your local authority is the signature to the Armed Forces Community Covenant? Can you confirm if your authority is a member of an Armed Forces Covenant/Partnership Board and if so who represents your local authority on this board?

Thank you for your request made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
relating to community covenant and armed forces champions, which we
received today.  I can confirm that North Northamptonshire Council holds
the information requested.  Please find our response below. 

 

Please can you confirm if your local authority is the signature to the
Armed Forces Community Covenant? No.  However, the authority is planning
to sign the Covenant on Thursday 7 October. There is going to be signing
event for local organisations on this date.

 

Can you confirm if your authority is a member of an Armed Forces
Covenant/Partnership Board and if so who represents your local authority
on this board? Yes, it is member of the Northamptonshire Armed Forces
Covenant Partnership. The authority is represented by its Elected Armed
Forces Champion and its Lead Officer.  

Please can you provide the contact details for the following (if the roles
exist in your local authority);
Elected Member Armed Forces Champion - Cllr Andy Mercer - Executive Member
