Dear Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy,

In March 2015, Post Office terminated the contract of Second Sight, a company of independent forensic accountants tasked with investigating its Horizon IT system. They had been brought in as part of the Post Office’s mediation scheme with ex-Sub-postmasters which had been established at the behest of MPs.

Please can you disclose all communications between the Department for BIS and the Post Office from February 2015 in which the reasons for sacking Second Sight were given, as well as Post Office’s explanation for ending the mediation scheme.

Yours sincerely

Eleanor Shaikh
