Dear Defence Infrastructure Organisation,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Defence Infrastructure Organisation's handling of my FOI request 'Communication between DIO/MOD and Ordnance Survey'.

Ordnance Survey have confirmed communication from MOD/DIO regarding changes to the areas of lands as defined by the Aldershot and District Military Lands Byelaws was received in 2020, and information has been supplied to that effect.

Thus the validity and accuracy of "no information in scope" response to this FOI is called into question and I would be grateful if an internal review was conducted.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Simon Brown

CIO-FOI-IR (MULTIUSER), Defence Infrastructure Organisation

Dear Mr Brown,

Receipt is acknowledged of your email of 19 May, in which you requested an
internal review of the handling of your request under the FOI Act, our
reference FOI2021/04836.

The Department's target for completing internal reviews is 20 working days
from date of receipt and we therefore aim to complete the review and
respond to you by 17 June 2021. While we are working hard to achieve this,
in the interests of providing you with a realistic indication of when you
should expect a response, the majority are currently taking between 20 and
40 working days to complete.  The review will involve an independent
assessment of the handling of this request and the outcome.

We should also advise that the measures implemented by the Department to
prevent the spread of COVID-19 may continue to impact upon our ability to
complete the review within the above timescale but we will aim to provide
you with an update, if necessary.

Regards

MOD Information Rights Compliance Team

Dear CIO-FOI-IR (MULTIUSER),

With the 17th of June behind us the deadline for a response has now expired, and after 15 months blaming COVID restrictions is unlikely to provide a reasonable excuse for delay.

I would therefore be most grateful if a reply could be expedited please?

Yours sincerely,

Simon Brown
