Dear Mr MacLean
I refer to your email dated 19 June 2008.
I am the OISC's Information Officer and it is my responsibility to reply
to any requests for information under either the Data Protection Act 1998
or the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Your request was: "Please detail total expenditure by the Office of the
Immigration Services Commissioner on Common Purpose courses for each of
the following years: 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005,
2006, 2007 and 2008 to date. Please also supply a copy of the invoice for
each Common Purpose course paid for by this organisation."
The OISC did not become operational until 2001. Since then no member of
the OISC staff has attended a Common Purpose course paid for by the OISC.
If you are unhappy about the way your request under the Freedom of
Information Act has been handled then it is open to you to make a
complaint to the OISC. Further details on how to make a complaint are on
the OISC website. Alternatively, you can write direct to: Mr Larry Rush,
OISC Head of HR, 5^th Floor, Counting House, 53 Tooley Street, London SE1
2QN.
Should you make such a complaint and be dissatisfied with the way it is
handled by the OISC, then you can take your complaint to the Information
Commissioner. Details of how to do this are on his website at
www.ico.gov.uk <[1]http://www.ico.gov.uk>.
Yours sincerely
Patrick Cracroft-Brennan FCA
OISC Head of Finance and Information Officer
