Children

 

1.    Who is the main contact/contacts for commissioning services within
Children’s social care?

Buddug Ward,  Head of  Families & Children’s Services

Allan Jones, Head of Strategic Commissioning (Care), Assurance and Housing
Services.

 

2.    Do you currently use an IT system to support your strategic
commissioning and contract

management? If yes to either please name the system(s) and details of
costs?

We record the services provided to individual service users on the main
Electronic Health & Social Care System and electronic reports are
generated to assist in managing the future needs of service users. There
is currently no contract management software used.”  However, we do
commission higher cost packages via an all wales collaborative who use
‘Children’s Commissioning Support Resource’  

 

3.    How many providers do you contract with for Children’s services and
are they internal/external?

As mentioned above commissioned via a Framework

 

4.    Do you have a performance management framework to monitor the
performance of providers?

Currently under development

 

 

Adults

 

1.    Who is the main contact/contacts for commissioning services within
Adult’s social care?

Sue Darnbrook, Head of Adult Social Care Services

We record the services provided to individual service users on the main
Electronic Health & Social Care System and electronic reports are
generated to assist in managing the future needs of service users. There

Our main care home contracts are 169 external care homes and 7 internal or
‘inhouse’ care homes and 5 Domiciliary Care agencies

Currently being developed

 

5.    Do you currently use micro procurement (also known as micro
commissioning or mini tendering) to

arrange services?

We do for Domicilliary Care packages

 

6.    Do you use brokerage or commissioning teams or do social
workers/care managers contact providers

direct?

We commission this support from Rowan who assist individuals with Direct
Payments
