Dear The Health Informatics Service,
As you have a specific department that deals with FOI requests and would be fully up to speed with the legal requirements I would greatly appreciate a reason why this was not attended to.
Yours faithfully,
Simon Hillier

Good Morning, Simon
Further to your emails sent yesterday, all FOI requests are sent through to a dept./person from the Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. They then deal with any requests, I would like to assure you that this is now being dealt with and I am unsure why you have not received a reply from your original email sent in through The Health Informatics Service website in ' Contact Us'.
I advised you in a timely manner to the correct dept./person and I can only apologise on behalf of them why you are still awaiting a reply.
My sincere apologies.
PS My contracted hours are 9 - 5 pm and because of your concerns replied to your email after hours before leaving for the day.
Regards

RESPONSE FROM CHFT
Following a detailed search and a conversation with Consultant Suhail Anwar - colorectal Multi-disciplinary Team lead he has advised that there are no National guidelines for this rare condition and we have not developed any local guidelines. Each patient is dealt with on a case by case basis.
Dear FOI,
Many thanks
I thought their was a UK Strategy for Rare Diseases put in place for things like this so I have contacted them.
Yours sincerely,
Simon Hillier
