FOITeam, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust

Dear Sir/Madam

The Trust is processing your FOI request (FOIRQ6825), however, please can
you provide some clarification before we can proceed with your request:

Your request:

Q1: What is the contract value for each imaging modality requested below:

What contract value are they referring to?

Q2: A list of the current modalities held by the Trust across all hospital
sites for each of the following:

a) Supplier name

b) Product name

c) Contract start date

d) Contract expiry date

e) Number of devices

f) Age of product

Example Response: 3 x Siemens Acuson SC2000, Initial cost £ 29,000,
Contract start date 10/02/2022 Contract end date 10/02/2026, 6 years old

Our Request for Clarification:

• For Q.1 of this request, We have purchased our equipment as capital
and not through lease funding, therefore we own the medical imaging
equipment outright, whereas some other Trusts may purchase equipment
on a lease by lease basis and pay annually for their equipment.
However, we do have annual maintenance contracts. Please kindly
confirm if you want information that refers to either annual
maintenance contracts or the lease of equipment contracts for each
medical imaging equipment.
• For Q.2a of this request, please confirm if you want information in
regards to supplier of the equipment or for the contract since this
will differ occasionally.
• For the initial cost, please confirm is this the cost to procure the
equipment or this initial cost of the maintenance contract since we
would have the initial cost of the maintenance contract for the most
recent contract taken out but not for the original contract for every
machine.

Please note:

Once we have received your clarification we will send an acknowledgment
and a date by which you should expect a response. The Trust is not
required to provide information where we have asked for clarification and
the ‘clock’ restarts when clarification has been received. If we do not
hear from you in 20 working days, i.e. by 08/06/2020 we will close the
request and you will be advised to make a new request if you still require
the information.

Yours sincerely,

Dear FOI Team,

Happy to clarify.
Your question was:
"You have provided a list of modalities within question 1 of this request. Please specify if you are requesting a detailed list of imaging equipment per modality for question 2 of this request."

I would like a detailed list of your imaging equipment for the modalities listed in question 1.

"For question 2, your example includes ‘Procurement price’. However, this has not been requested as all questions only refer to contract details / contract value. Please confirm if you are only requesting information relating to contract details / contract value within the imaging department or the request includes ‘’procurement price’’ as well."

I would like to get the contract value. If your equipment is not under contract please include the procurement price.

Subject: [External Email] Re: FOIRQ7011 - Request for Clarification -
Medical Imaging Equipment currently held by the Trust

Dear FOI Team,

Happy to clarify.

Your question was:

"You have provided a list of modalities within question 1 of this request.
Please specify if you are requesting a detailed list of imaging equipment
per modality for question 2 of this request."

I would like a detailed list of your imaging equipment for the modalities
listed in question 1.

"For question 2, your example includes ‘Procurement price’. However, this
has not been requested as all questions only refer to contract details /
contract value. Please confirm if you are only requesting information
relating to contract details / contract value within the imaging
department or the request includes ‘’procurement price’’ as well."

I would like to get the contract value. If your equipment is not under
contract please include the procurement price.

Yours sincerely,

Emmanuel Phillips
