Dear Patricia,
Thank you for your response.
By Clinical Governance, I am referring to the person or persons (it can be an external company or organisation) who takes operational responsibility for the medical training of your crew members and for the medical kits on your appliances being compliant with the latest regulations and guidelines. Other Fire & Rescue Services are allied with their local Ambulance Services for this or employ an external third party company. Please can you tell me who does this role for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service?
Hope this helps.
Yours sincerely,
Chris Parkinson
Dear Chris
Thank you for your clarification.
I can confirm that your response date remains the same.
Kind regards
Patricia
Dear FOI,
Please can you update me on this request? The deadline for reply has now passed.
Many thanks.

Dear Chris
The medical supplies which includes out defibrillators and O2 cylinders are purchased through our purchasing system and overall responsibility lies with the Head of Operations.
Our first aid training is outsourced. This is arranged through our training centre and therefore overall responsibility lies with Head of Training.
I have attached a copy of the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Freedom of Information complaints procedure for your information.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards
Patricia
