Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner,

In your report titled 'Policing Sheffield’s Trees Protests' it is stated at 7.5 that: "SYP made 25 arrests at tree protest sites between January and March 2018.
Whether charges are pursued is a matter for the Crown Prosecution Service."

Please provide any and all information associated with the statement in the report quoted above.

I am seeking to ascertain why there is such a glaring discrepancy between the constabulary's figure in the following document - https://www.southyorkshire.police.uk/med... and the figure included in your report and also clarify the origin of the information quoted in the report and of course its veracity.

Yours Sincerely,

Mr. Buxton

Dear Sally Parkin,
Many thanks for your response.

This is a request for an internal review. I have examined the documents referenced above (SYP press releases) and it indicates that the figure of arrests quoted in the 'Policing Sheffield's Tree Protests' report are incorrect.

I can only assume that either the information quoted in the report was sourced via a different communication or the Report itself needs to be publicly corrected for a second time.

Yours Faithfully,
Mr. Buxton
