Dear Mr Smith

RSN21564

Thank you for your recent request made under the Freedom of Information Act. Please find attached a spreadsheet containing the information requested.

The figures for 2020 are understandably lower given that passengers were asked to follow travel advice on our website (https://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/customer...) to reflect the extra safety measures that were in place to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. Government guidance to stay home is also likely to have affected personal decisions on travelling. This was expected, but the decision was made to continue to provide these services due to the importance of the journeys that were still necessary for frontline workers and those visiting and caring for vulnerable family members.

I trust that this information is of interest to you.
