Dear Mr Lachowski

The Academy will make a referral to Children’s Services when presented
with a safeguarding concern.  These referrals form part of our duty of
care and obligation to safeguard all of our students.  Referrals can be
made by more than one person in the Academy and can also be made by adults
who are not directly employed by us, for example, counsellors or the
school nurse. Also, on occasion, students are re-referred if action has
not been taken after the first referral.  On record, fifteen referrals
were made last year.  The same number were made the year before.
