Child protection orders
To whom it may concern
I am looking for figures on how many Child Protection Orders were sought for children in the local authority within a week of their birth? I would also like to know how many of these children had been identified as in need of protection prior to birth.
I am looking for figures over the last five years from 2015 to 2020 under freedom of information legislation. It would be much appreciated if you could provide this figures as a spreadsheet attachment.
Please do send me an aknowledgment of this freedom of information request, and I look forward to receiving the information within 20 working days.

I can confirm as follows:
1. I am looking for figures on how many Child Protection Orders were sought for children in the local authority within a week of their birth?
2015 – 16 = 5
2016 – 17 = 2
2017 – 18 = 3
2018 – 19 = 3
2019 – 20 = 4
2021 – 21 (up to 19/4/21) = 2
2. I would also like to know how many of these children had been identified as in need of protection prior to birth.
